According to price monitoring of photovoltaic industry chain of SOLARZOOM, current polysilicon in China market is
in short supply and at a high price range. Due to one silicon manufacturer’s factory in China caught fire in June, the
silicon production output will decrease around 2,500 tons per month. These series of impacts caused by this accident
will bring the silicon material prices to a even higher level.
In the meanwhile, several main silicon manufactures in China have started their yearly safety maintenance of the
production equipment and factories ahead of schedule, which has further increased the tension of silicon material
supply.
